IMPORTANT NOTICE:

On May 6, 2019 one of our operators was opening the cell and getting things ready for the day when he discovered some blue smoke with chemical scent. After trash was moved to a safe distance, it was discovered that some pool chemicals had been disposed of in the trash and had a reaction that started a small fire. Household chemicals such as these can be disposed of at no cost to residents at our household hazardous waste collection center during our normal operating hours. Call our office at 319-372-6140 with any further questions regarding hazardous waste disposal.
